Seminar in Education

I invite you and your students to attend the following seminar presented by Dr. Filiberto Penados, a Belizian activist and scholar. Dr. Penados completed his PhD in New Zealand as a commonwealth scholar and then returned to Belize where he has been a key figure in combating marginalization of the indigenous people through education and community-based actions. While many of us engage with the literature and scholarship of marginalization, equity and anti-racism through our classes, research and writing, Filiberto brings lived experience of the ways in which peoples can respond to these realities.
